ACS/Resnet are looking for people!
Dear Society of Women Engineers,
My name is Arianna Pilram and I'm a senior at UCSD. Although I am not
an engineering major, I found a great job working for ACS (Academic
Computing Services). Being an engineer major is not critical, but working
well with all people is. Not only is it the highest paying student job
on campus (13.00/hr starting), it is also the most friendly environment
I have found at UCSD. We do more than just fix computers--we have
BBQ's, we play ultimate frisbee, we celebrate birthdays, and we have a good
time. This job also comes with a lot of benefits and learning
opportunities. Having a job at ResNet also looks very good on a resume, because
we specialize in People Skills. So, if you are looking for a
well-paying, fun, challenging, and great job for the fall, look no further. If
you would like to know more about the job you can visit our website at
http://resnet.ucsd.edu/jobs.shtml.
This job will end at the end of the Fall 2006 Quarter. If you are
interested, please send your resume to resnet-jobs@ucsd.edu. Once a resume
is received and reviewed, an application will be emailed to the sender
with further instructions. We will be accepting resumes until May 1st,
but apply soon to avoid the rush!
If you have any questions not answered here, you can also send me an
email at apilram@ucsd.edu
Thanks for your time, have a great quarter!

Get Paid for Testing a Product
This is a message from our former SWE President Wendy Tung:
I'm currently working at an internet video broadcasting company called
Veoh. We're looking for some people to come in and test/use our
program for 30-40 minutes and they'll be reimbursed $15, or $20 if they bring
their own laptop and install the program on it. All they have to do is
watch videos on the program! After that, if they refer people to come
in and do this, they get more money.. So it's a nice system that works
for the company and works for SWE members who want some extra cash =) I
know my company would be thrilled to have female input since the
current audience is 90% male. People can email me at wtung@veoh.com if they
want to sign up.
Thanks!
Wendy
